Review form PIP and evidence was created by Perdita
Re PIP Review form and evidence. I know the completed forms and evidence are received by a central sorting office where they are scanned. Does any one know whether each page is scanned as a separate pdf, meaning that the dwp assessors have loads of pdfs to open? So on a person's case file will there be a pdf attached for every separate page sent in by that claimant, for a call handler or case worker to open?

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Perdita
I don't know for certain, but I don't think they are separate pages - it would be really hard to read as evidence if it were or download.

Hi Perdita
The form would be scanned in as a batch, which is why if you add extra pages keep the pages together with a treasury tag, so it is easier to remove and makes it easier to load all the pages together for scanning.
We have a similar system where I work, documents are scanned in as a batch, which can scan double sided documents.

Hi Perdita,
This has nothing to do with PIP or ESA but I used to work on customer correspondence letters. Each letter was scanned onto the computer system by someone unknown to us in some seperate office.
We never saw the actual letters.
They must have been PDF files as they were displayed in the customer's handwriting or if typed in print form.
I guess this is standard practice these days so I would guess that
whoever deals with claims will see evidence as it was written or printed.
Regards,
Phrank.
