I will be appealing a UC wca, is it worth mentioning that I’m in receipt of PIP? Have a blue badge and a carer? I understand that they are different benefits but hearing loss and arthritis are relevant descriptors to me on both of these.
Hi Tina, DWP often denies an overlap, but there are clear parallels with PIP. Certainly refer to having PIP it shows you really have disabilities. If appropriate mention the PIP assessment report and what the assessor said. Judges have help that there is an overlap too. If the PIP assessment is positive ask for this to be included within the papers. Remember that pain, fatigue will be relevant to how well you can do the WCA activities. Good luck with your appeal.
