Hi, My wife is my carer and I am on PIP for Daily living, I was declined mobility even though I cannot get out much and dare not ask again in case I lose the daily living part.
Anyway, over the years my wife has suffered from TMD (Temporomandibular disorder) in which she has been advised not to have surgery by her Dentist. She also suffers from Familial hypercholesterolemia, an inherited cholesterol condition and also has Stage 3 Kidney disease.
She really struggles sleeping with the TMD, the Cholesterol is high and the Kidney disease is ongoing. Can she put forward a claim for any of these as I can see it is taking a toll on her?.
PIP is not awarded for the condition(s) but rather the limitations that result in regard to the PIP Activities, I would go through our PIP Claim guide to see if she would score sufficiently for an award.
