Is that correct that you don't get an assessors report when it's paper based? was created by mumsgirl
I phoned PIP again today for my assessors report as I was getting worried they had sent it out and was wrongly delivered to a neighbour. Ive been told that there isnt one because I didnt get an assessment (it was paper based). I asked how the decision was made and she said it will have been from my PIP review form that I sent. I asked if they would have looked at my original PIP form too and she said "probably, I guess". Is the fact that I have no assessors report correct as I think mentioned on a previous question that is was paper based but was advised to get it? Is that a reason I could put on the MR (that I didnt get an assessment)?

Hi mumsgirl
No, it is not necessary true, when you have a paper assessment , the assessors report is called a PA3.

This happened to me . I had a paper based assessment and I rang around 3 times to ask for the PA3 and they told me one wasn’t available.

Hi, I was also in this position, and was told that if the decision had been made solely by the decision maker that there would be no PA3. They said there were some system notes that were only for the use of the decision maker and that I was not allowed access to these.
I queried this with mods on here at the time and was told to include this fact in an MR as this disadvantaged me.
I hope that helps. All good wishes

Hi mumsgirl,
I had a paper based assessment last year and rang the DWP for a copy of the assessment report. It came within a few days.
If the call handler tells you there isn't one, put your foot down and insist you have been told there is. (I have usually said that an advisor at the local CAB told me). This has always worked for me in the past.
If you can't bring yourself to argue, then hang up and phone again.
I think that when I've been told 'no' it has possibly been some 'newbie' who didn't quite know the software well enough.
Regards,
Phrank.
