So, my relative last had her ESAcb (support group) claim re-validated by filling in the ESA50 form etc. back in 2017, to last for 3 years. Nothing since. She reaches State Retirement Age next August and so becomes ineligible for ESA at that time.
I was wondering what are her chances of making it until then without another ESA50 thudding onto the door mat?
It is impossible for us to say. Lots of people who were due to be reviewed before the pandemic have not been done. When they will be is anyone's guess. There is no obvious systematic system currently in place that is obvious to the public! They are also dealing with a backlog. So your relative may be lucky, but a form could pop through the door next week, next month or in a couple of months' time. Sorry, that we can't say.
