I received an appointment a few days ago for my health assessment; the letter states I have to attend in person, which would be incredibly difficult due to anxiety, panic attacks and agoraphobia.
During completion of the form I requested a home visit, I plan to call the HAAS on Monday or Tuesday to request a home visit, my questions are:
Am I likely to need some form of proof from my doctor that a home visit for the assessment should be booked?
Are other forms of assessment available? Phone/Video call?
I don't think the assessment services have resumed home visits and as you requested one, that's probably why they have sent you an appointment at an assessment centre. You can't insist on a home visit. When you ring you could ask for a telephone assessment. A few video assessments are also being carried out.
