Means testing

It has been mentioned that on the 17th November disability benefits may be means tested,I urge people to write to their mp regarding this issue

One thing that keeps cropping up when I go on a google trek is that Rishi Sunak has said that the Autumn Statement will be fair to the most vulnerable.

Read into that what you will but it doesn't sound likely to me that these means testing reports are anything more than rumours caused by over reporting.

At least that's what I think, personally.

Seems to me they are floating a number of ideas to guage public opinion and means-testing PIP etc is one such idea. But it absolutely flies in the face of all previous statements about protecting the most vulnerable

If they are callous enough to try to balance the books off the back of those with the most problematic health problems it would backfire politically in my opinion.

If means-testing for PIP was somehow introduced in spite of the likely political consequences I imagine it would start with new claims. There might then be a lengthy process to reassess existing claims. But frankly who knows what will happen next

Sent a letter off to my local councillor who is a tory, also cc my other local councillor who is lib dem.

It is high time all these people are held accountable for their actions as politicians seem to thing they can get away with anything. I really do not know how they sleep at night with the way this country has been let down by these lying toads time to get some justice for the decent law abiding caring people who do not deserve these fraudsters representing us in government and cripilling the poor and underprivileged and allowing the law to be discarded at a whim.
