PIP Review success thanks to B&W

After a wait of almost 6 mths I heard my PIP Review was successful AND will not be looking at again before 2032!

When I first looked at the form I thought it would be easy and I could simply answer most of the questions “No change”. But B&W advice is to answer with as much information as for the original application. I have no doubt that it was because I followed B&W advice for completing my original application and Mandatory Reconsideration that I was successful in the end. So I reluctantly decided I must follow B&W advice again!

Fortunately I had all my previous answers stored on my computer so I was able to read and amend where necessary.

About 6 months after I had sent in the form, I got an unexpected phone call from DWP very late one afternoon. Lady said she wanted to check some things with me as some of my answers seemed to contradicted others. She said she hoped I could clarify matters as she was very keen to avoid sending me for a medical assessment. She came across as being very friendly, understanding and “on my side “. But I had thought that about another assessor who then awarded me just 2 points so I lost my benefit. However on this occasion turns out she was genuinely nice!

I can’t remember much of the conversation as I was having a very bad day and she spoke very fast. But what I do clearly remember is that on a number of occasions she thanked me for giving so much information on the form as this made it so much easier for her to understand the problems I faced.

So a BIG thank you to B&W for your advice.

I have to say I consider myself to be extremely lucky. Luck shouldn't come in to it but I think it does.
