Review form Help needed please was created by Wilson28
Good Morning
I have received my PIP review claim form in recent weeks, my current claim period ends in June 2023.. I am currently still in the process of getting a concrete diagnosis. I am suffering from a rare mitochondrial disease which results in exercide intolerance, severe pain, muscle deconditioning, extreme fatigue and muscle weakness.
I have also recently been advised I am pre diabetic. Do I mention this as a new condition on my review form or not as its pre diabetic not diabetic?
I am currently receiving enhanced rate for both. I also suffer from severe social anxiety and depression on top of my mobility problems.
I have been encouraged to exercise more to prevent further deconditioning but am worried that this will go against me and I will lose enhanced mobility.
How much detail do I need to go into on the form especially if there has been no change in my ability to complete certain tasks?

Hi Wilson28
You can always put it down, but be aware In order for the DWP to take notice of a claimant's condition on the PIP form, it must have affected them for at least three months before the claim went in and would continue for nine months afterwards. Then a claimant has to show how that condition affects them with regard to the PIP criteria.
Being advised to do more exercise doesn't mean that you would automatically lose points for mobility. However, if you submit any information to the DWP that says something like that, there is a chance they will jump all over it. If you are unable to take that advice, or it is too painful, or if you would need support and you haven't got it, or you are not physically or mentally well enough to do it - they say so. If your condition is as yet unchanged, they make that very clear.
Regarding how much detail you should give on your review form, you would be advised to look at the latest Guide to PIP claims and reviews and see what it says. We don't advise that people just say unchanged without giving and explanation of what is unchanged.
