DLA to PIP age 16 was created by Jane
Hello,
I would be very grateful for a little advice please?
My son turned 16 in September and I have now received his PIP application forms.
I will be completing them on his behalf as I have been nominated as his appointee for the DWP.
As I knew the transfer to PIP was imminent, I have typed up answers to each question using the PIP guide on here.
Would it be OK to just write on each section - 'please see page XX of additional information for details' and include a typed booklet as long as I label everything very well?
I would fill in the smaller sections by hand on the form but, I'm just trying to avoid having to manually write out all the sections again if I can help it.
Thank you very much for any advice.
Jane

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Jane
Lots of claimants follow the method you are choosing. Just be clear in what you write and your page numbering and it will be fine.

Hi,
If I may.......
I provided all my responses in a Microsoft Word "booklet"; for each section in PIP2, I just put "please see page xxx for response".
In the actual booklet, I used headers and footers to make it clear what was what:
Header: My full name top left, N.I. number top middle and page x of xxx top right of every page.
Footer: Displays the question which is being covered (e.g. Question 3 – Preparing food) at the bottom left of the page.
I left them in no doubt as to who had put the "booklet" together and which question the page covers.

Hi Gary,
I was, eventually, successful.
My initial application resulted in enhanced for daily living but only 6 points for mobility, with a review in 2025; the subsequent MR made no difference so I started the appeal process and found someone to represent me at tribunal.
I didn`t get to tribunal, DWP reviewed my application and awarded me enhanced for both and turned the short review date into ongoing:)

I meant to add.....
My success was down to the excellent documentation provided by B&W - thank you very much.
I`ve just renewed my subscription for another year.
