still no ESA review?

Hi - I was transferred from Incapacity Benefit to ESA support group -but I have not had a review in nearly 10 years - I have not received any form to complete during that period but obviously there will be some type of checking going on behind the scenes during all that time? I just wondered if anyone else is in same position and why they wouldn't have reviewed me for so long? Obviously I'm not complaining and my welfare advisor has told me no need to contact them as long as I'm still receiving the ESA. But I wonder why they've not got in contact? The only thing that did happen was a few years ago they rang out of the blue and asked me if things were still the same, had anything changed- I said no except that I was now in receipt of PIP also. I'm not sure if it was the Right Payment Programme as the lady didn't say- but other than that there's been no review - well as yet anyway! Has this happened to others since changing to ESA?

I have been worrying about this too.Slightly different circumstances but I won appeal at tribunal about 8 yrs ago to stay ESA Support group for I believe 3 years but I have heard nothing about review since.I was awarded PIP both mobility and care components since that time and wondered if that was why I hadn’t been reviewed.I dont want to phone and rock the boat but it’s a constant worry

Seems to be a bit of an ongoing theme with ESA reviews and backlogs.

I would suggest not fretting over it, unless you're considering contacting the DWP, but what I would suggest is 'Be Prepared' In general I find the most stressful part of the whole ESA/PIP process is the gathering in and collating of all the supporting evidence, especially if there is an extended period of time involved. I had a 6 year period between my previous award for ESA and my current one and an even longer period of time between my previous DLA to PIP award. Easier said than done and even I fretted.......... a little bit. Just try and be as prepared as you can be for when you do actually receive the dreaded brown envelope, or is it white these days
