I am currently on PIP and having a re assessment, I would like to know if when I am driving to a familiar place , I have to use a sat nav as I miss turnings and get lost etc. does this count as a orientation aid and if so would I be awarded 12 points for this.
An ordinary satnav will not count as a specialist aid, it has to be one “specially designed or modified to assist the disabled in following a route safely.” (CPIP/3759/2016).
So unless your is a specialist one - the answer to your questions is no.
