Wanting impartial advice on whether I should transfer from legacy benefits to UC

Hi all,

I am looking for organisations that can provide impartial advice regarding moving over from legacy benefits to Universal Credit. I am presently receiving ESA WRAG with a SDP (I receive PIP also) however as I now require a housing element (Housing Benefit claims are no longer issued through local authorities) I have been told that I would be required to claim UC.

With this in mind, I would appreciate the names of any impartial organisations that I could call on for advice on this topic, as I want to be sure that I will be better off if I do decide to move over from legacy benefits.

Many thanks

Hi Tinol

You can do better off calculations using the following websites; gov.uk/benefits-calculators

Alternatively you can ask your local Welfare Rights Organisation who will take all your circumstances into consideration; you can find your local Welfare Rights Organisation to help you with advice by clicking on the link below and putting in your post code, it will then come up with a MAP with a list of agencies. advicelocal.uk

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems
