Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

There has been discussion about merging the WCA and PIP assessments into one but I have not heard of any proposed changes to the ESA and I assume UC assessment criteria, these are defined in law so cannot just be changed.

Hi Gordon,
If they merge PIP AND WCA will people have to be assessed and fill out ESA 50 forms again.

Your news section reported a day or two ago Gordon that a white paper is due in March at latest and several news outlets, notably Times and Guardian reporting that WCA for ESA is possibly being overhauled or even scrapped. All conjecture atm but sources in DWP have apparently intimated this to journalists.

Hi Bengal21
Your guess is as good as ours, at present we have no details, as soon as we become aware then it will be in our free news letter.

Hi micksville
There is a lot of conjecture going around but nothing specific.
The ideal of merging PIP and WCA was laid to rest last year, but since then we have had a few changes in the DWP so never say never.
As soon as we have have any information it will be in the news letter.
