Awarded indefinite 10 year pip award

A big thank you for the valuable info on the forums and pip guides I was awarded standard pip award of ongoing indefinite 10 year award. I retire in 4 years !

Been getting pip since 2017 for various disabilities…arthritis..fibromyalgia… etc

I waited nearly 18 months for my review to take place , kept giving me 3 month extension then 12 months ….so my surprise after Xmas was a letter from dwp…a video assessment…they gave me 7 days notice i froze when I opened the letter ….I have never been so nervous , the assessment took 90 minuets , thought it was never going to end …I had a text saying it would take 8 weeks for a decision so phoned dwp for my Pa4 after two weeks to be told the results over the phone.

I did expect enhanced / standard mobility but without seeing me in person it is hard to give a true result on how you walk ect …and if you can drive and go to work you don’t need enhanced on both …

I won’t be appealing as don’t think I could I could go through it again.

Knowing what to say counts ….don’t just say “yes or no “and have to be “prompted “…. Stuck in my head.
I remembered to say my aids I use ……my one cup kettle came up a lot it’s a life saver I said not having to hold a boiling kettle to scald you ! At the end the assessor said go and have your coffee !
I wish everyone with getting there awards and a huge thank you , and for all the hard work and valuable knowledge.

Sorry …should say ‘ongoing award for 10 years ….am not good at putting pen to paper / typing and can’t see any where to change it.
