So disappointed :( was created by Alfeeee
After 15 months of stress, waiting, more stress and more waiting, my daughter finally had result of the tribunal for PIP claim. No award :( A few more points than were originally awarded but not enough. I feel devastated for her - feels like nobody listened to how her Ulcerative Colitis really affects her every day, and just kept picking up on the fact that she was living her on her own, goes to work etc. Really feel let down by the system and sorry for her that she struggles on every day with no award to get some help that she really needs.

Hi Finch

I don't know whether your user name is your proper email address, but if it is, you ought to go in and change it, as this forum is public on the internet.

I'm sorry that your daughter's tribunal claim was not successful. I hope you have applied for the Statement of Reasons - so that you have the complete picture of how and why they came to their decision.

There is nothing to stop your daughter from putting in an application for PIP again. It's probably the last thing she feels like doing, having waited so long, but she may change her mind in time. If she does, all you can do is look at why she was refused and see if there is anything she can do to describe the impact on her life against the specific criteria.

Hi, did your daughter's evidence include a diary? If not please see the advice in B&W Guide on this, there is a template and some examples. Or do a simple table in Libre Office writer/MS Word or whatever, with columns for date and comments. These can include comments from you as well as her. I went back through my phone, laborious but very worthwhile, documenting when our daughter had failed to answer calls or texts due to Chronic Fatigue.
It is fine for it to be typed. However you do it, just be sure her name and NI No are at the top of every sheet. The diary really tipped the balance in our daughter's favour.

Thank you. She submitted a diary. I think it's too late now tribunal have made their decision. She'd have to start a new claim. It's taken 15 months already!
