Hi adrian
Welcome to the forum.
You might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is; www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/guides-for-claimants/faq/forum
In answer to your question, I came across the following article from Citizen Advice, which may answer your question;
Regulations increase in Universal Credit (UC) administrative earnings threshold (AET) from 30 January 2023
From 30 January 2023, the Universal Credit (Administrative Earnings Threshold) (Amendment) Regulations 2023 amend regulation 99(6) of the Universal Credit Regulations 2013 to increase the AET:
for an individual, from £494 per calendar month to £618
for a couple, from £782 per calendar month to £988
This change affects people who are subject to all work-related requirements and who have earned income. If earned income is above the AET claimants are subject to a light touch regime. The increase in the AET will bring more people into the intensive work search requirements group and they will be expected to complete more intensive work search conditions to increase their earned income.
You can read the Universal Credit (Administrative Earnings Threshold) amendment regulations 2023 on the legislation.GOV.UK website. www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2023/7/made?...c8&mc_eid=edcc37f40d

Hi adrian
I do feel your concern, there is no easy answer, if I was asked if I needed a special work coach I would say yes, if they can sort my back out to be pain free I would work 8 days a week, just on a side issue Tue to Fri is 4 days not 3 days.
You cannot be forced to do more hours than what is agreed on your claimant commitment, you may also want to have this conversation with your doctor to get their opinion.

THANCK you for reply THE thing is PEOPLE AGE 55 - 64 . TOP ING UP WITH uc . WITH life long disabilitys DEGENRATIVE mobility walking standing around lift/ bending . like me . Now & 59 due to degenrative nature find we can cope mentally / physically working part time NOT FULL TIME 5 DAYS UP 48 HOURS . WEEK . as i say i do approx up to ANY 3 days 30 hours week between tue - friday . ATM iam in light touch . so no worksearch requirtnment or weekly vists to job centre 7 miles away . OFFER of spechial disability work coach voluntary ATM. When in light touch as i been last 5 years no issues . ATM JAN 2023 ONWARDS govertnment seem be changing rules goal posts . TAKE ATTITUIDE force PEOPLE 55-64 WITH DISABILTYS / MOBILITY ISSUES . IN TO full time work UC50 1 /YOU FIT FOR WORK CAN WORK FULL TIME 40/ 48 HOURS WEEK / 2 NO WORK SEARCH BUT PREPARE FOR WORK / SUPPORT LWCRA NO WORK . ME with disabilty can do happy working part time 2/ 3 days CANT cope full time 5 days DONT WISH to be bullied into full time / or risk losing ANY UC UNICREDIT top up sanctioned . UC is so inflexable towards disabiltys / work . TORY CONS dont care that most age 55- 64 disabiltys probally paid 40 + yerars of CLASS1 NI/ TAX PAYE . SO OAP PENSTION PAID FOR & 35 PAY /NI BUT we cant claim it to 66 current we more than payed any benefits UC we claim . & 62 now you cant claim as pre april 2016 PENSTION tax credits retire early on health . UNLIKE last 5 years if in soft/LIGHT touch you earn over AET £618 FROM JAN 30 . U left alone no worksearch/ jobcentre vists my commitinments just sign in to account regular / report chanes / do all on to do lists . atm jan 2023 NO NO work search requirtnmentt.
