Hi Denby, Thank you so much for your reply, i have just looked up EDS and all the symptoms fit! i have always been the person who 'bruises like a summer fruit' as my dad says, i have always been super flexible and click & crack like a cracker, always fatigued, very dizzy a lot of the time! i had no idea about EDS so i certainly will be mentioning this to the Rheumatologist on the 6th!

I have nearly finished writing up my MR and it is currently 4 pages long, thats without any evidence from my boyfriend who has said he is happy to write a statement etc.

is there any other advice you can give on how to complete the MR?

Thank you

Hi Izzy26, I think LL26 has covered all there is to know for an MR in her earlier reply. One 'hack' if short of time is to send in a partial one before the deadline, very clearly emphasizing there is more to come. It just means two lots of recorded delivery or similar postal cost, but buys you time to wrap up eg reaction to a PA4 you are waiting for. Every sheet of both parts must of course have your name and NI No along the top. [Tip: I printed these along the very bottom of a blank sheet. Then folded it just above the printing, and hooked it over the top of all evidence such as doctors/friends' letters before photocopying. Gives a neat result easily and saves endlessly handwriting them.]
Best wishes,
Denby

i have now sent my MR back as of yesterday evening via 1st class and kept the proof of postage so fingers crossed it doesn't take long to be received and fingers crossed approved!!

also has anyone got any tips on working? i currently work as a receptionist and i have a meeting with HR on Tuesday to discuss my 'disability' which is still hard to get my head round. what do i ask for as reasonable adjustments?! right now i have no energy to even work let alone anything else!

Hi Izzy26

Reasonable adjustments are individual, and it's outside the scope of the forum for us to advise you in this matter. I did a quick google, and you might find this post useful. The advice is comprehensive and from a reputable source. www.acas.org.uk/reasonable-adjustments.

Good luck with it..

I have trouble with all the "evidence" blar blar, but one of my friends got awarded the first time standard for both and she didn't send ANY of her evidence in. She forgot!! She told them she doesn't take prescribed medication as she has a child she needs to look after and they make he not be able to do it right. Im flabbergasted by the whole system to be honest. My friend got offered a job for an assessor and they only have 7 weeks training ahhhahaha. JOKE XXXX
