I was due a review in January 2022, this was delayed and the reason given was the covid backlog. It was delayed until November 2022, I then received a further latter stating it had been delayed until November 2023 again blaming the covid backlog. I spoke with my MP who wrote to the Secretary of Sate and surprise my appointment was expedited. I was given a week's notice and was given a phone consultation at 9am. I had arranged for an advocate to be dialled into the call. The phone rang at 9.15 and as I answered on the third ring they hung up. They did not call back so I phoned IAS to ask what was happening and they said it was cancelled and I would have to wait another two weeks for the appointment as there was nothing earlier. I asked for a reason it had been cancelled and they said they did not have to tell me. I explained the day they were offering me that I had a hospital appointment which I could not cancel. They would not alter the day as they said there was nothing earlier. I then phoned PIP and explained I had the hospital on the alternative date and that it was unfair to expect me to wait two more weeks. PIP put me through to a manager at IAS and she gave me an appointment next week. I'm sure if my MP had not been involved I would still be waiting until November this year.
