Should I request an early review? was created by Unrapid
Hi everyone,

My review date is not for another 12 months. I am considering asking for an early review for two reasons;

1) My circumstances have worsened since my initial assessment and I feel that I might now be entitled to claim more, and

2) I am concerned about any potential delay in the review taking place if I leave things to fall on the current planned review date, particularly if in the event of a delay my PIP payment were to be suspended pending the review

I am hoping for some advice from those that may have been in a similar position, or anyone with experience that might be able to guide me.

Many thanks in advance,

UD

Hi Unrapid

If you want to report that your condition has deteriorated, you can put in for a 'change of circumstances'. That will automatically trigger a review. Before you do so, look at the PIP criteria and see where you think you should now get more points. I only say this because a deterioration in a claimant's medical condition doesn't necessarily lead to an improved PIP award.
