You need to contact the DWP to find out what is going on with your award and it's review.

Motability may be willing to extend your current lease if you have wait for a new award, you need to contact them about this when you have an understanding of what is happening with your review,

Your LA will not extend your Blue Badge unless you can show on paper that your award is continuing, despite promises to do so the DWP have so far failed to provide documentation to this effect.

However, you can ask your LA to assess your mobility problems directly, if you contact them now it may be possible to have a new badge in place before your current one expires.

Hi Jan777, his best bet would be to phone PIP as normally they sent a renewal form at least 12 months before and there is only 2 months of his award left.

I would also recommend preparing for his next renewal, so asking for his medical notes from last time his award was made from his GP, getting letters together from professionals who have seen him, letters from friends who know him and reading up about renewals on this site and any others which may be relevant to his conditions and his renewal.
