I have a small pension that I can claim soon, will this affect my carers allowance I receive for supporting my daughter? I am under the threshold of allowed earnings ,do I need to declare this pension ?

Hi teresa36

A small pension will not affect your carers allowance, but claiming state pension will, as it is an over lapping benefit.

www.gov.uk/carers-allowance.

You do not need to declare this pension unless it is over £132 pw.
