I have been reading around and havent seen anything about people in the support group CB ESA, PIP but not on UC. If my husband was assessed for UC he wouldn't get it because of my income. Does anyone have any idea if his ESA would be kept as a legacy award or would he in the future be assessed and rejected for UC? I know its early days but any ideas would be appreciated.
There have been a few discussions going around about CB ESA in the support group. As CB ESA is not means tested they will stay on CB ESA whereas claimants on IR ESA will be asked to apply for UC.
As CB ESA and New Style ESA are both contribution base benefits then CB ESA claimants will be transferred over to NS ESA., but we will wait to see how things will progress.
