PIP Telephone Assesment was created by andyj1967
Hi, can I ask for a little advice on behalf of my wife.
She has just got a text saying she has a telephone assessment next week ( first one, all others have been face to face). Obviously she is a little nervous and unsure about it.
If you have any advice, or have been through it, I'd appreciate your take. Also with the face to face, we have been able to cancel the first one, (why give a face to face at 8am?). Should we cancel the first telephone assesment?
Thank you to all who answer.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi andyyj1927
You can read all about telephone assessments in the Guide to PIP claims and reviews.
The biggest difference is that an assessor can make assumptions because they can't see the person, but many of the questions will be the same, and you can find those in the guide. benefitsandwork.co.uk/guides-for-claimants/pip Information starts on page 109.
It's up to you if you cancel the first telephone assessment, but you will have to take the second one that they offer you.

Thank you, I will have a better look. I have inadvertently posted this again (slight different wording) as for some reason I wasn't seeing this reply. If possible, please delete or let me know if I need to. Thank you again.
