Hello. I hope you can help point me in the right direction
Following a review of my IIDB my percentage went from 30% to 105%. The main leap was due to my mental health (suicidal attempts PTSD) I am 58 and my injury was 38 years ago. My last medical of any type was in 1998.
I have been on enhanced PIP for both care and mobility.
I claimed for Constant attendance allowance and they have awarded me the normal rate which is going to be deducted from my PIP care. That is not the problem.
I intend on challenging the CAA decision as I feel that they have not fully read the supporting documentation that I have sent in
Suffering suicidal PTSD is not something that you can tie down to a particular hour or quantity of times I need help. Generally speaking if left for more that half an hour I can become so low that I will be suffering with life threatening moods. I have told them this and the medical officer said that I should be on CAA.
There is so LITTLE information out there on IIDB Exceptionally Severe Attendance allowance that I am turning to you. I feel that my condition has been progressive and will never get better (Apart from my taking my life) and I have provided loads of supporting evidence.
So I am asking you if you are aware of any DESCRIPTORS for IIDB ESAA specifically the wording that I would need to make them properly read my medical evidence and realise that I do need a heck of a lot more care than they are looking at. Suicidal PTSD and the physical problems that I have do not come and go in how hourly slots
I have hunted and hunted through legislation and through your site and I just cannot find anything. The ATTENDANCE ALLOWANCE section does not really help either
Could you be able to point me in the right direction for then IIDB Exceptionally severe attendance allowance.
Thank you
George

We don't support IIDB claims at B&W so I'm afraid you won't find any information of use but I did a search and found the following document at Gov.uk
