PIP lose support group? I don't understand was created by Wiggles
Can someone explain to me like I'm 5 what EXISTING PIP CLAIMANTS MAY LOSE SUPPORT GROUP STATUS means?
I keep hearing that if you're on PIP you have to have a work coach. But I thought PIP had nothing to do with job seekers?
I don't understand what any of this means. I'm confused by all of the terms.
I'm on PIP and ESA. How do I find out if I'm at risk of this?
Thank you.

Hi Wiggles
You can read about it from the April 11th Newsletter. www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/news/existing-...us-as-early-as-2026#. As you will see from the article there will have to be legislation in parliament to see these changes through. I would try not to be concerned about it at this stage. B&W will continue to report changes as they become apparent.

I don’t understand either. What has the Support Group an ESA category got to do with pip? The article pointed to doesn’t help either.

Hi
I am on contribution based ESA, PIP enhanced. I have read as much as possible currently, regarding this particular benefit and it was difficult enough working out how it fitted in, or not, with UC. Its all fluffy and essentially missing direction for this non income based benefit.
What happens to contribution based ESA? To those of us on this, without any income uplift. Do we know.
Thanks

The White Paper doesn't appear to cover this, let's all wait until after the next election when we may not even need to deal with this.
