I had my telephone reassessment in February and yesterday, I received the dreaded letter. I will still be receiving PIP but for some reason they have reduced it from enhanced living rate to the standard rate (nothing for mobility) A drop of about £100 a month. Is it worth asking for a reconsideration or at least asking why it’s changed? Nothing about my condition has changed so I am a bit perplexed. Thank you in advance.
The Decision Letter should explain how the Decision was made you can also ask for a copy of the PA4 Assessment report by contacting the DWP.
As to whether you should ask for a Mandatory Reconsideration, only you can decide this but if none of your limitations have changed then it does beg the question as to why the award has been reduced.
