Despite the fact that I knew I had written a super description of how my illness affects me and there was nothing on it that left them any wriggle room. And the fact that my telephone 'interview' with a "Health Professional" went well. I was still gobsmacked when I was awarded a much increased award (standard care and full mobility).
I was stunned into silence.
I felt that at last my needs were acknowledged and taken seriously without any stupid assumptions. It's taken them all of five years!
So I am back now to the level of support that I had from DLA.
And no stopped 1 year reviews. I am safe until 2007
Aint it great being disabled!

Hi Redrob Many congratulations on your improved award. That is good to hear. I don't want to spoil your happiness but review forms can be sent out up to a year before the award end date - so you could get the review form in 2026. So glad you were successful. BIS
