Should I try to contact DWP again before before receiving outcome? was created by Peppermint
I think I've been fobbed off by DWP with my pip claim. Call to start claim was on 2nd Feb, requested forms by post but found out 3weeks later they'd been emailed. Copies of forms posted but when received (PIP2 exp) the 1st page said " Because you live outside the UK, you can only claim PIP for help with your daily living needs. This form does not have any questions about your mobility needs"
I called to question and query this as it wasn't true but was told if I had 28 pages then I had received the full form and if there was anything additional I wanted to mention I could do it in the 'Additio al information' part of the form.
Because I hadn't received the full form I had to ring back for a 3rd time because I hadn't received the page with the return address in it.
It takes over an hour to get through on the phone each time but should I try to contact them again and try to speak to someone in authority who can actually help with this? Or should I just wait to see what decision they come back with?
Many thanks

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Peppermint
When you ring, you are always going to be speaking to a call handler - not 'someone in authority'. Whether you want to try and ring them again is a decision you will have to make for yourself. An hour to get through is common for most parts of the day, and that waiting is grim.
If it were me, I would want to check whether I had been asked all the questions I was expecting on the form I had been sent. You can do this by looking at the Guide to PiP Claims and Reviews - which has the questions you would expect to see on the PIP2 form.
www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/guides-for-claimants/pip. If any are missing from what was sent, you can always query with that and send in additional information.
