The DWP has a range of methods in place to ensure that front-line colleagues follow the guidance correctly when supporting vulnerable customers. These include quality checking of calls with claimants, examining notes and other actions, as well as checking the technical aspects of a case. DWP staff also have clear escalation routes in place to help colleagues support vulnerable customers. These include referral to vulnerable customer champions and advanced customer support senior leaders, who can help where additional support needs are identified.

Ok so just an update we have this morning spoke to the VCC she briefly explained that is for people who may need extra support who suffer with mental health conditions. It seems to be rare they offer these, She was really nice as has put the MR though to the priority team who ever they are due to all the things that have gone wrong and the absolute stress they have caused so fingers crossed
She did comment that she has a brief look over the MR I did and said it looked good and very detailed so hoping I’ve explained everything enough to win it Back

Thanks everyone for your reply’s this site has been a HUGE help

Hi Lb777

So pleased to hear about your good news in winning your mandatory reconsideration. Many congratulations. Give yourself a huge pat on the back. It's not easy to win an MR, and the majority of people don't, so you did well to overturn the original decision. Glad you found the guides such a help.
