Your wife would need to claim UC with the Housing Element.

Hi Aragorn

Make sure your wife claims UC before you reach state age especially if she is in receipt of the support group, this is a mistake many mixed age claimants make and loose over £1,000.

When your wife applies for UC she should go straight on to the LCWRA without having to go through the 13 week assessment period.

If there is a break in your claim even by one day then your wife will have to go through the assessment period and complete a WCA form.
