Hi I just had face to face for 3 hours I had a support worker with me I had every thing wrote down but I still got confused to explain everything about my disabilities told her about my hearing loss that I only have 20% of hearing in my right ear my support work is from deafness awareness I told her about how my disabilities causes me a lot of pain through the day, where I struggle to walk with osteoarthritis in my left knee and tendon ruptured in my knee where I fell and nearly lost use off of my bottom leg.and my sciatica I’m a bulging disc in my neck which I had scan showing C7 causing me a lot of pain in my neck and down my left arm also I have an large prostate causing me be I wearing pads because I have leaks when I cannot get to the toilet quick enough also I have a large diastasis recti which causes me problems also, I take water tablets to help me with a fluid buildup on my legs and ankles which I have oedema in both I’m really bad trauma on my left hand and arm. What should I cannot stop shaking?so I told her I have lipread to my support Worker help me as well to explain some of the questions but when I look back I just cannot remember what to say to some of the questions, so I’m wondering now it’s to late to explain more in detail on the day I was so depressed and my anxiety went very bad which caused My blood pressure go to a dangerous I high so do I just wait for outcome off the face to face assessment it’s very hard to explain in three hours about everything I go through the day so I think I really did not explain about my disabilities well enough because of the stress so known i’m very worried I did not explain it good enough so now should I just wait for the decision thanks

Hi Peter

You are suffering from the what if syndrome, which is normal, everyone goes through it. I was speaking to a claimant a few weeks ago who thought they did terrible, I advised them to get a copy of the assessors report called a PA4, when they received the report we went through it and the assessor had awarded them enhanced on both components.

A number of weeks later they received their decision letter which agreed with the assessor.

Do not stress yourself, 3 hours is a long time and quite often you forget what you have said earlier, you can contact DWP 48 hrs after the assessment and ask for a copy of the assessors report called a PA4 ( I am assuming it was a PIP assessment) if it was a WCA assessment then you need to wait until you receive a decision letter then request a copy of the assessors report called a UC85.

Dear Peter, just to add to what Gary has said. If you get your PA4 and it does have point-losing things wrong in it [which might be nothing to do with what you did or didn't say in your 3 hours ordeal] - you can write ASAP to
'The Decision Maker' '
at the last address you had a letter from. Don't say 'lie' as this gets their backs up. Say things like "assessor appears to have overlooked xy evidence".
A letter like this saved our daughter a third tribunal.
Best wishes, Denby

Hi thanks for the advice they asked me if I got a dog I said yes, my sister takes it out can you be penalised for having a dog now? After 3 hours off intense questioning, I broke down, started crying because of the pain I was in as well she asked me if I was up for a physical examination but I was in to much pain she said that will be ok not have examination so I hope I don’t get a penalised for not having a examination I found the whole experience of the face-to-face. assessment was unbelievable stressfull she was not interested in all the new evidence scan results my knee she just looked at the paper work brushed it one side so I will let you know the outcome of the decision she has made but i still strongly feel like I was not treated right so I will went for the decision assessment again, like to thank you and all your colleagues and to the people on this forum so thanks
