Hi Mrs Doyle
There is nothing that says you have to have two hearing aids to score for 7b.

I agree with BIS that there is no specific requirement for two hearing aids, however, it is your hearing across both ears that is being considered so if you had adequate (not perfect) hearing in the ear that does not normally have a hearing aid then you may still not score.
There will be an assumption that if you have been assessed and it has been decided that you don't need a second hearing aid, then the ear can hear adequately. If you did not address this in your claim form then the Decision Maker may go with such a recommendation.

Hi Gordon,it was late 2019 when I had the hearing test, both ears show "moderate to severe hearing loss" but one was worse in the human speech frequency range.I was offered two at the time but I said I will just have one for the speech at the moment, because it felt very strange and took a while to get used to.Then in 2020 Covid hit and the appointments were cancelled and I havent gone back for further fitting (and Tinnitus therapy)But the DM said "you reported full hearing in your good ear" I did not say this at all,and have recording to prove this.So I am unsure what to do next.Thanks.

Hi mrs doyle
Understand that the assessor is offering an opinion when they say that you can do the PIP activities, tackling these head-on is unlikely to be successful, you need to show that the basis of that opinion is founded on incorrect information, so try and refer to your evidence to undermine what they have said.
