PIP and Stoma Bag was created by Tuliptrees
I currently receive the daily living and Enhanced Mobility PIP. I have today been told I need an end colostomy. My question is should I let DWP know, or will it just trigger another review despite being three years into a successful Tribunal claim? DWP was quick to take my original PIP off me at three-year review and I simply cannot put myself through that again. I am 66 years of age.

Hi Tuliptrees

Unless your condition has improved, then you do not need to inform the DWP.

If your condition has deteriorated and you would now be eligible for enhanced daily living then report a change in circumstances, it will trigger a new claims for to be sent to you and you could loose what you already have.

Thank you, Gary. As I suspected, having to have a Stoma Bag will trigger a review and mean losing what I already receive, I am sure, so I will not bother letting them know.

Hi Tuliptrees

You can raise the issue when you are next reviewed, for now you can start reviewing yourself slowly now by taking your time so as not to get too depressed.
