Advise, ESA, PIP what can I claim was created by Lb777
Hi all hoping for some advice

I’m currently self Employed and have been for 10+ years
My partner does not work due to disability she receives PIP enhanced daily and Mob
We have 4 Children and we currently receive Working Tax Credits

Unfortunately I’ve fell on some bad health myself
I’m suffering with Gout, a dislocated Sholder and my mental health is so bad I’ve been told I’m suffering from burnout and I’ve surpassed stage 5 I don’t really understand it all but I just know I’m not well at the moment, I’m not good at all I won’t go into all details but I need some time off work I don’t want to not work i just need some time 2-3 months to try and get better I’ll never recover if I don’t take time too

So my question is obviously being self employed if I don’t work I don’t get paid I know I’ll get the Working tax credit but I can’t afford to live off just that can I claim esa and working tax credits for a few months?

I have checked my NI and I do have few gaps in it last year was a full year but prev to that I have few gaps

I have applied for PIP 4 weeks ago heard nothing yet (i know can take ages) in hope I’ll get it as I do need lot of help from people at the moment doing anything and everything I feel like burden to be honest but all I want to do is get better I just need a little help doing so

Any advise much appreciated

Hi Lb777

Thank you for your post, we do not have enough information to give you an answer, we would advise you to seek help from a Welfare Rights Organisation who will be able to take all your circumstances into consideration, you can find your local Welfare Rights Organisation to help you with advice by clicking on the link below and putting in your post code, it will then come up with a MAP with a list of agencies. advicelocal.uk
