Hi

I'll cut to the chase! I am a carer and the lady I care for, won her PIP Appeal at Tribunal in Apr 2020 after waiting over 12 months for it. They back dated it from January 2019 and the award was from January 2019 - January 2024. However she has just received a PIP 1043 It's time to review your award which they want back by 3 June 2023. Is this normal to ask some 7 months early? Secondly as this just seems to be like being on a merry go round I am considering helping her complete the form, adding new Medical Evidence etc and also adding a copy of her original PIP Claim Form the Letter telling her that she had lost all PIP and had 6 weeks to hand her car back also a copy of Mandatory Request Letter she sent and the DWP reply telling her that the Nil PIP stands copy of letter requesting an Appeal and copy of the Tribunal request letter and copy of the Tribunal award of Enhanced Rates Daily Living Component and Enhanced Rate of Mobility Component.

Any advice would be greatly received, as I can't believe the DWP would want to go through another Tribunal!

Regards and Thank You In Advance

Dave

Hi Anthony

Welcome to the forum.

You might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is; www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/guides-for-claimants/faq/forum

PIP review forms are generally sent out up to 11 months before the end date of the award.

If nothing has changed since your previous pip assessment, its best to explain in detail what has changed and what has stayed the same and how you’re finding each task.

If you have an up to date review of your treatment, therapy and medication it could be helpful to include this also, I would also include a copy of your last Tribunal Decision Notice, especially if nothing has changed.

It is perfectly OK for you to type your answers and attach them as extra pages to the form, just make sure that each page has your full name and NIN at the top and that they are numbered, we recommend "page X of Y" so that it is easy to see if pages are missing. Make sure you clearly mark on the form where your answers are and on the relevant page that you are answering question X.

I would not split your answers across the form and attached pages, do one or the other for each activity (not question), splitting it risks the second part of your answer not being read.

Attach the pages to the back of the form using a staple or make a hole in the top left corner and use a treasury tag, string or ribbon to the form. The pages need to be easily detached so that they can be scanned by the DWP.

If you feel you do not have enough time to complete this form you should be able to arrange an extension by calling the DWP and explain that you need a bit extra time.

I hope all goes smoothly for you, try and fill in the form over a few days and take plenty of breaks, from previous experience I know this can be very stressful attempting filling the form all in one go, use our latest guide to help you complete the form; benefitsandwork.co.uk/guides-for-claimants/pip
