I hope someone can help. My partner is blind and in C based ESA. I am at risk of loosing my job and used a benefits calculator. it said:
Your entitlement is made up of £129.50 in partner contribution-based ESA. Contribution-based Employment and Support Allowance is paid for a maximum of twelve months, unless you are in the 'support' group.
Does this mean as my partner is in the support group I would get this beyond 12 months? I didn’t even realise there was such a thing
I'm afraid not, your partner's claim is theirs only, it does not apply to you.
If you apply for New Style ESA and receive an LCW award then you will receive payments for 365 days, if you are given LCWRA (Support Group) then your ESA will remain in payment as long as you stay in the group and you will still have the 365 days if you are subsequently moved to LCW.
