Online PIP / AR1 forms : how does the timeframe / countdown work ? was created by twinkerzzz
I'm a bit confused about the time limited count down for filling in online PIPs/AR1s.
I recieved a text 2 weeks ago saying they're sending a pip review form - which didn't arrive - so the text says if it doesn't arrive ring 0800 121 4433 .
so i am having to ring that number but reading posts here, it's likely it's an automated system to request an email link to an online form.
So when does the time limited period countdown start for an online form;
1. when i recieve the original text notification ?
2. When i recieve the email containing the link to the onlline form ?
3. , when i click the link in the email that takes me to the online form ?
I've also read in posts here that by the time you get to any form paper or digital, the looming return deadline is much less than the month they should give. What should i do if that is the case ? Is there a known reliable phone number to ring to sort ot this issue beyond the one above ? (0800 121 4433 )
cheers for your time

Hi tinkerzzz
I'm sorry, I don't know how it works with the online system.
You should be able to get through on the PIP enquiry line - which is the number you have quoted. You should be able to ask for an extension, and it will be automatically given. Don't leave it until the last minute to ask.

It does not matter when the time starts, what matters is when it ends and you should have been informed of this.
Unless you have been granted an extension as a result of the missed form then the original date still applies.
You can request an extension by contacting the PIP Helpline.

Hi
i just spent over 2 hours waiting to get through to somone - he said the application only had 25 days left to complete and said he would re-set it to 40 days from today.
I opted for a paper form send out just because it's what i know from before so i didn't clarify the online questions i posed here.
He gave his first name and call centre location as an identifier in case of issues.
I guess that's as good a gaurantee as any ....
