"We now have all the information we need to make a decision" PIP letter PIP 0502

I received this letter in the post a couple of days ago. Does this mean that I won't need to go for a medical?

I sent off the form to renew my PIP claim last October(!) and this is the first I've heard from them.

Anyone have any idea how much longer things are likely to take? This is all making me feel a little anxious at the moment.

Hi Phildeeks2

It certainly sounds as if you won't need an assessment. We can't be certain how long it will take - because they don't send out a lot of these letters, but I would expect it to be six to eight weeks but it could be sooner or it could be longer.

Well, I received my PIP award letter - all is as I'd hoped for, thankfully. Received a higher rate this time too.

FWIW, the "we now have all the information we need" letter was dated 7th June and the award notification was dated 12th June - in case this is of use to anyone else reading.

Seems that I'm also going to be owed some backdated PIP because of how long my claim has been processing - any idea how long this typically takes?

Hi phildeeks2

Congratulations - that is good to hear.

I can't tell you how quickly your back payment will come through, but I would expect it to come through within four weeks.

Ditto just received today so your post is helpful. Did you get any other communication besides the letter?
