Hi I have just completed my pip renewal form and sent all the evidence I can that is still within the 2 year range - various supporting letters written last year, from social worker, psychologist, and psychiatrist. section 2 tribunal notes from 2 months ago with analysis/ comments from professionals, and an adhd report (diagnosed last year but starts in childhood), and repeat prescription list. will they still contact gp with this amount of evidence? I'm very stressed and need reassurance. I'm posting the form today. I've heard some of my other friends getting telephone interviews for renewals, but I'm worried they might try and drag me in for a face to face assessment due to the adhd diagnosis I received last year ?
The DWP don't often contact people's GPs unless they think they don't have enough information or they want to clarify something. I can't tell you categorically they won't because it's done a case-by-case basis.
The majority of assessments are telephone assessments. A small number of people are being called for face-to-face assessments, and if that happens to you, you can put in a request to change it. Several members of B&W have successfully changed their face-to-face assessments to telephone assessments.
