Can you apply for a Mandatory Reconsideration to request having your PIP award extended to the 10 year "light touch" category if you have been awarded 4 years/reviewed in 3 for standard rate for 1 component & enhanced rate for the other? Or does this 10 year award only apply to enhanced rate for both components? Thank you. J.
You can try and ask for a MR due to the length of the award but you need to explain why you think you should be awarded should be longer. I can only think of one post that was successful in getting the length of the award extended.
DWP may have awarded you 4 years as your condition may deteriorate and therefore may at sometime in the future be eligible to the enhanced component.
