Pensioners on Housing Benefit was created by penthesili
Hi
As a pensioner, having acquired my state pension after being on ESA IR for many years, will I now have to be included in the forced migration to UC for housing benefit only?
Many thanks.
Cheers, Pen.

If you have reached State Retirement Age and live alone or your partner is also over SRA then you are receiving Housing Benefit as a pensioner, this is not included in the migration, however, if you have a partner under SRA then you are receiving "normal" HB which will be moved to UC.

Hi Gordon
Many thanks for your insight. As I live alone, I should be safe from the dreaded migration.
Your help is much appreciated.
Cheers Pen.
