PIP Tribunal was created by PG
I finally have my PIP tribunal after 17 months since I first applied and was turned down.
Does anyone know if there is any difference between the PIP tribunal and a UC tribunal as I had the latter a year ago and was successful.
The Tribunal panel were all sympathetic and understanding, hopefully I will get the same outcome next week at the PIP tribunal.
Thanks PG.

Hi PG

The format will follow the same sort of lines. Hopefully, you get another sympathetic panel who rules in your favour. The best of luck.

Hi thanks for the reply one of the concerns I have is that I might get awarded the standard rate of Mobility and subsequently have to apply for the enhanced rate due to my conditions worsening since
my assessment.
Do you know if this will once again take months or even a year to complete even though it’s been the DWPs fault in loosing my paperwork that has delayed my potential enhanced award.

Hi PG,

I have an ongoing case still from June 2023, however mine was escalated to the upper tribunal - it is unfortunately taking many months still for these assessments, but I have read that a new company was or is in the process of being appointed, so whether this improves things - your guess is as good as mine.

Hi all thanks again for all the support and help we all get on this site.
I sometimes think it’s not worth me ranting on or seeking advice but then I realise how helpful it is to read and to be able to see the light at the end of the maze. So rant begins!!!
Had my 17months in waiting PIP Tribunal yesterday, unlike my UC LCW tribunal it was a completely different atmosphere.
By far the worst interrogator was the Doctor, she was rude, interrupting me, constantly trying to catch me out, she contradicted my GPs and consultant’s opinions she even said I did not have nerve damage (proven and documented)
and completely missed my MRI results confirming Arthritis and bulging discs.
I tried my best to keep calm and focused but can easily see how people can be bullied into submission.
I finished with a statement sticking to what I believe to be correct and importantly stating the four ‘rules’
Safely, Reasonable time, Repeatedly and Acceptable standard to my conditions.
Thanks to being a member of this site I’ve eventually got a partial victory over the inept DWP.
I really hope my experience might help others in their dealings with the DWP.

Hi PG

So glad you got through your PIP tribunal. I'm sorry the doctor was so rude. Honestly, I don't know how some of these professionals live with themselves; their lack of self-awareness and the size of their egos are staggering. I confess I smiled when you said that you had stuck to the 'four rules' - well done you! I really hope that you get the outcome you're seeking
