Hi,

So yesterday hubbie got a note on the UC from a decision maker saying he will be sent an apt for the dreaded wca, this is all very confusing as I am his carer which they know about hes in receipt of pip which is currently under review also so quite a worrying time ahead for us is it me or does this system seen ridiculous seeing as he is 64

Hi Sherlock63,

64 ....spring chicken these days ! Now that the official State retirement age is 66 ( and 67 in 2026 ) I have heard of claimants aged 65 and a half getting WCA appointments. Sorry about the bad news.

Thanks David for the reply you're right there pity his body behaves like its 84 lol but we will see what they throw at us keeps the brain working I guess !

Sorry I meant to ask do I ask for the assesment to be recorded on receipt of theappointment or before it is issued? also what do I request when asking for a copy of the report just preparing for the worst
