Hi,
Has anyone been given extra points on their claim after receiving a letter from DWP regarding they may be entitled to extra because of the Government ruling change in 2016 regarding face to face engagement please?
If so, how long did it take them to make the decision and make the back payments please?
Thanks

Hi Ela,

Post approved, and hopefully one of our claimants can share their story with you.

Chris.

In 2017 i was awarded as well as other points, engaging with others 2 prompting & 4 planning and following a journey, at my most resent award they took away these points without any good reason, i was suspicious about this as i had written to them in October 2022 asking them to look at my claim regarding the MM judgement which they never ever acknowledged, 3 weeks later i received an MM letter saying i wasn't effected !! they are doing everything they can to avoid it, they have also tied my current claim to it so i have to risk everything to get them to look at the MM judgment, i have had to appeal, next big scandal in the making i believe

In 2017 i was awarded standard daily living and enhanced mobility which included 2 points for engaging with others and 4 points for planning and following a journey, then in 2022 i write to the Dwp about the MM judgement together with all my evidence, i never heard anything from them after that about it, at my recent award in 2023 i was awarded standard daily living and enhanced mobility but they had suspiciously taken away the above mental health points without any reason as my condition was the same, 3 weeks after receiving this award i had a letter from the Dwp about the MM judgement saying i wasn't effected, coincidence i think not, they have done there upmost to not look at this judgement and they have also tied my current claim to the judgement to make myself risk my whole current claim if taken to tribunal, yes it should be illegal, i am appealing !
