Pip launching investigation over failed assessment

Hi Liss

Thank you for the update. I shouldn't assume that they will have denied your claim. When they originally said they didn't have enough evidence, I think they may have just been referring to your vocal chord problem - which is why they tried to do the assessment.

After their ridiculous suggestion that you should answer on a whiteboard (which they then decided wouldn't work) - they had no other option but to do a paper assessment. If you do get turned down and one of the reasons is that they didn't have enough information, you must argue that they didn't try to contact you about it, even though they were already aware of this as an issue!

Hi Lisa,
The delays and false starts are bad enough, but surely the assessor could 'own' the error and give you the bad news in person! Very poor indeed.

Little update...

Today I received the assessment report and the nurse who did the paper based assessment has ticked boxes that give 10 points in the daily living part. So fingers crossed...it would be third time lucky as I failed my last 2 pip attempts!
