Hi there, Thank you for this site and all the helpful feedback. Firstly I am busy trying to complete the pip review forms. I ended up having to go to tribunal after my initial claim so the anxiety around this process is off the scale.. could I please ask is it a good idea to state the reliability element in the form so state that I’m not able to do x,y orz repeatedly or to an acceptable standard for example. Also I’ve had a private mental health assessment which has confirm somethings and explains why I struggle in some of the ways I do. Despite this being reported the last time I didn’t have a diagnosis so even the tribunal didn’t seem to understand. (The dwp ignored other symptoms that cause difficulty but by the time the tribunal happened I had been diagnosed with RA) My question is does any supporting documentation need to be from the nhs or would a private report be accepted? I am currently receiving support from CMHT but they are reluctant to diagnose. The report has been shared with them but I have only given a read only permission. I don’t want it on my records due to stigma. Also I happened to look at the ESA paper work yesterday. I noticed the award is until 28th November. Due to both physical and mental health issues I am still unable to function so still need to be on it. I am panicking that I haven’t heard anything from them. Can you advise on the correct action I need to take please. Many thanks in advance Kind regards

Hi Ruby

Re: PIP Review
The DWP undoubtedly prefers evidence from the NHS - but plenty of people send documentation from private health providers. The fact is the DWP and their health assessment providers frequently ignore evidence wherever it comes from! Send it in.

Re: ESA 28th November
You need to call the DWP as soon as possible and ask them what is happening. You don't want to be without any money at the end of the month.
