I've been awarded enhanced pip mobility and daily living with a paper based assessment, and the baw guides were a huge help.
I've been given an award until October 2033 (9 years) does this mean I'll have a light touch review,
And I got 4 points instead of the 8 I should have on the engaging with other people activity, would this effect the decision they'll make on my wca?

Hi Freedricka,
It does seem likely that you've been given a light touch - I know this is normally 10 years, but maybe it's 9 and it takes 1 year to start the process again, or it could be because you reach state pension age ?
With your 4 points, this would only make a difference if it was to take you over the threshold of:-
The Personal Independence Payment (PIP) uses a points system to determine the rate of the benefit you receive:
Mobility component
You receive the standard rate if you score between 8 and 11 points, and the enhanced rate if you score 12 or more points.
Daily living component
You receive the standard rate if you score between 8 and 11 points, and the enhanced rate if you score 12 or more points. You automatically receive the enhanced rate if you are terminally ill.

Thanks Chris definitely not reaching state pension age as I transferred from child DLA. I was asking if they would use the pip descriptions for the wca for uc.

As it stands at the moment, light touch reviews are given to people who have lifelong conditions, have been awarded enhanced PIP awards for both daily living and mobility, and have been given an ongoing award (10 years), or those who have reached State Pension Age.
At the moment, PIP and WCA are separate, and although there are overlaps, you cannot guarantee that because you have scored something on PIP, it will have a positive or negative effect on your WCA.
