I think Ive made a big mistake. was created by grw
Hi, I called the Social Security Scotland t request a change of circumstances form as I had a diagnosis from an MRI. I called CAB and told them I had my review letter to tick the box yes or no to changes. CAB took weeks to get back to me and told me to tick the box no and send it back with no evidence MRI reports etc, but it's too late they record when you phone and that would look suspect.I had a friend fill in my form and she basically filled it but not enough info. She did my original report so if I add to it will it be ok as our handwriting is different and just give he name that she helped with the form? Also I read that it is not a good idea just to tick No box as they need to know up to date info. I feel sick I haven't done anything right i'm overthinking and panicking. I know you do not know a lot about ADP. It's just the same really can anyone advise me or help in anyway to help me as my mental state is frazzled. I appreciate any help. Thanks Gail.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems
Replied by BIS on topic I think Ive made a big mistake.
Hi grw
If you had already put in for a change of circumstances - I don't understand why the CAB would advise you to put no change and not send in the information about the MRI, unless they thought that it wouldn't be considered. Did they tell you why they were giving you that advice?
Don't worry about having two different sets of writing on a form. That's easy to explain that two of you completed the form - there is nothing suspicious about that - it happens to plenty of people.
Plenty of people tick no change. If you're going to tick no change I would always suggest that people repeat what hasn't changed rather than assume that an assessor will look at a previous form. Saying something is almost more important than whether you tick yes or no to that question. Try not to let this get to you.
