Thank you David. I went to the online link for AA and clicked on it and strangely it was no longer a form just a bunch of online tickboxes with few spaces to elaborate. We completed and submitted the form really quickly in one sitting. So that was a huge relief!

Do you think it would be worth me holding onto all the answers I wrote for my UC50 form? I did complete them but never managed to get them written into the boxes on the form, nor did I manage to organize all the evidence/paperwork that I was planning to send with it.

I realise they will find me fit for work this time, but presumably there must be some point in the future when I can have this reviewed, and I will then have most of the hard work already completed ready to submit?

Many thanks

Hi bahern,

It can never hurt to have a copy of your previous answers, especially if these have helped you in the past. Also, with computer based questionnaires, you should be able to press the "print screen" key on your keyboard and then open up a program such as paint or word and press control (CTRL) and V to copy it onto the screen and then save it as a file name that suits how you would remember what it's in relation too.

Chris.

I now have a telephone interview date for next week. Should I bother to answer the call, given that I wasn't able to submit my form? I presume the call is just a rubber stamp to refuse the LCWRA thing? So it would presumably just be a stressful encounter that won't achieve anything good for me. My logic being that if they're going to refuse anyway, why put myself through it.

Hi bahern

Yes, you should complete the telephone interview, just be careful on what you say, I would record the interview, they will want to know why you have not returned the completed the form.

- Write yourself a bullet point list of any particular points you want to get over, so you have it by you during the assessment, tick them as you cover them during the assessment.
- have paper and pens to hand to make any notes such as the assessors name, date, time
- Record the assessment surreptitiously. (Never trust that there won't be a problem with their equipment!)
- make sure you are seated in a comfortable chair, you are going to be there a while and at table to make notes
- if you can't hear or understand what is being asked then ask them to repeat the question
- don’t let the assessor rush you and get you flustered.
- don't forget to have a glass of water if needed so you don't get a dry throat and lose your voice!

Once you get a decision letter contact DWP and ask for a copy of the assessors report called a UC85.

Thank you for the detailed response Gary.

I only found out about the interview from a text message sent by the DWP. Is there anything vital that the missing letter would tell me that I should know, or is it just a generic letter that everyone receives with just the date/time on it?

Hi Bayern

You are correct, it is just a generic letter with a date and time, follow my bullet points and let us know how you get on.
